What is your take on the impeachment trial? Personally, I welcome the impeachment to serve as a message to all members of the judiciary that they can be held accountable for whatever malpractice they commit... But after the UST Graduate School was somehow got involved (re: Ph.D. degree of Corona) on the issue, I'm now for the acquittal of Corona...
From my observation I'd say that the defense is manhandling the Prosecution... and it helps them more for having a handsome spokesperson in Atty. Karen Jimeno... I hope she speaks more...
Many maybe impressed with the way Sen. Enrile is presiding the court but I can't forget that he's the reason for the EPIRA, the scouge of electric consuming public... I hope that there's more of Miriam and Chiz in the court and less of Drilon... I totally agree with the comment of Sen. Santiago that the media coverage of the trial is keeping them from resolving it in the quickest possible time...
In my opinion, Corona will never be impeached via 2/3 votes... But I expect majority of the senator-judges to vote for his impeachment...
Another reason why I'm following the trial was because of the meztiza being shown behind the senator-judges everytime they speak who happens to be the daughter of prosecutor Rudy Farinas... She's very easy to look at...
