UST dominates Pharma boards
12 July 2012, 5:30 p.m. - THOMASIANS dominated this year’s Pharmacy licensure examination, taking six spots in the Top 10 including first place, data from the Philippine Regulation Commission showed.
The University was named second top-performing school, with a passing rate of 88.92 percent or 281 passers out of 316 takers. This was higher than last year’s 84.80 percent.
This year’s board passers include 269 out of 293 first-time takers (91.81 percent) and 12 out of 23 repeaters (52.17 percent).
Thomasian Heidi Rose Tanjueco, who had a score of 91.63 percent, topped the exam. She was followed by Rafael Paulo Salimo (91.42 percent), Vien Christian Lansangan (91.05 percent), Priya Ballagan (90.05 percent), Ludy Mae Ang (89.90 percent) and Ma. Fatima Julienne Tabbada (89.88 percent), who landed on the second, fourth, sixth, eighth, and ninth places, respectively.
Last year, the University got four places in the Top 10, and had 284 passers out of 325 (87.38 percent) first-timers and six out of 11 (35.29 percent) repeaters.
Saint Louis University and Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela were also named top-performing schools.

Thomasians dominate Pharmacy boards
02 July 2013, 9:02 p.m. - THE UNIVERSITY once again dominated the recent Pharmacy licensure examinations, with six Thomasians entering the top 10 list.
UST emerged as this year's third top-performing school after it recorded an 80.27-percent passing rate or 293 passers out of 365 examinees, data from the Professional Regulation Commission showed. This was lower than last year’s 88.92 percent, with 281 out of 316 examinees making the cut.
Leading the new crop of Thomasian pharmacists is Clinical Pharmacy summa cum laude Ryan Justin Raynes, who landed in second place with a score of 93.65 percent.
Other Thomasians in the Top 10 are Marc Oliver Armeña (92.45%), Noel Tan, Jr. (92.30%), Joshua Santos (92.27%), and Shervin Cruzado and Pamela Berilyn So (92.05%), who took the third, fourth, fifth, and seventh spots, respectively.
Last year, six Thomasians also entered the Top 10 list.
Saint Louis University was again named the top-performing school with a passing rate of 98.39 percent, or 122 passers out of 124 examinees. It was followed by Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela with a 91.04-percent passing rate.
